## Punching

If you want to punch, you need proper form. Ball up your fist and ensure that your thumb rests over your other fingers like below. If your thumbs are too high, you'll hurt them.

## Knife Hands

For a proper knife hand—often also called a hand blade—hold out your hand below and ensure that you *angle* your thumb at a 90° angle like below. Do not leave your thumb flailing.

For horizontal knife hand strikes, you may curve your hand but only slightly.
